There are plenty of exciting things to do in Dallas. One good activity is to take a self-guided walking tour. You can visit one historical landmark or attraction each day. There are several excellent destinations for this type of tour within the city.

In Dallas, some famous landmarks are the John F. Kennedy Memorial, Reunion Tower, and the Sixth Floor Museum located in Dealey Plaza. This was the site where President Kennedy was assassinated. You can even take a guided tour of the historic sites.

Other tourist attractions include recreational pursuits such as sports, museums, shopping centers, arcades, theaters, aquariums, zoos, parks, and historic buildings.

Sports are always popular in Dallas. One popular attraction is the American Airlines Center, where you can check out a game of one or more of five professional sports teams, including the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, the NHL's Dallas Stars, and the Arena Football League's Dallas Desperados.

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Dallas. It sits at the site where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963. The museum houses exhibits, documents, photographs, and films about this tragic event.

The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center is also a top-rated attraction in Dallas. It hosts concerts featuring some of the best orchestras, chamber music groups, famous musicians, and opera singers.

Another top-rated tourist attraction is the Dallas World Aquarium. It features exhibits with different animals from all over the world. Visitors can even see penguins, sea lions, jaguars, meerkats, alligators, eagles, bears, otters, and turtles up close.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a great place to visit if you love flowers and plants. While there, you can enjoy the beautiful landscaping, take a tour of the greenhouse, see a bird show, or watch a movie in the outdoor theater. You can also pick your strawberries at the Berry Garden.

An exciting place to visit is the Dallas Heritage Village. This open-air museum has more than thirty historic buildings on twelve acres of land. It includes homes, barns, stores, and other structures representing North Texas from 1856 to 1930. You can take a guided tour or explore this village on your own and see what life was like in the past.
